Position: New Business/Sales

Summary: This is a sales position in which the individual will be responsible for development of new business accounts leading to increased revenues/profits, while upholding the mission and values of the agency. Compensation will be a blend of base salary + commission where greater results will lead to greater rewards.

Through a full spectrum of marketing services (including branding, advertising, media planning, creative, public relations, social media, and digital), our enthusiastic, creative, and talented professionals serve as experienced and trusted advisors who help shape and share a brand’s story.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for generating new business meeting activity via appropriate solicitation methods (phone calls, direct mail, networking, etc.) and assisting with sales closes.
  • Advocates knowledge of and supports agency’s mission, culture, confidentiality, standards, etc.
  • Helps to champion a sales culture among peers
  • Creates opportunities to pitch new accounts
  • Initiates and manages effective relationships with warm and prospective leads on an ongoing basis
  • Develops and maintains prospect target list based on the goals and expectations outlined by agency management
  • Prepares new business activity reports for agency partners and senior management

Communication Ability

  • Ability to effectively write reports, presentations, proposals and general new business correspondence (letters, email, etc.) – strong writing skills are required
  • Ability to effectively present to prospective clients and agency peers – strong verbal communication skills are required


  • Sales in marketing and service related industry with proven results
  • Experience implementing a customer relationship management process in order to best manage, track and analyze customer interactions
  • Advertising agency experience preferred but not required
  • Looking for a candidate who lives in the Milwaukee market and has strong relationships/connections in place
