In honor of Milwaukee Day 2015, here are our favorite places around town:
Brian: Lakeshore State Park. It’s an outdoor oasis in the heart of downtown MKE.
Cindy: Estabrook Beer Garten. Good beer, beautiful setting, playground and baseball diamond for the kids and we’re guaranteed to run into friends whenever we’re there.
Meghan: Henry Maier Festival Park. Whether it’s Milwaukee Irish Fest, German Fest or the Rock N Sole run, it’s the best place to enjoy the lakefront in the summer.
Rebecca: It’s a tie: Burnhearts in Bay View – A great selection, great atmosphere, and it’s close to home. Bradford Beach/lakefront during Y-Beach Camp in the summer.
Kristin: Bryant’s Cocktail Lounge: Great bartenders. Good booze. They have something for everyone.
Megan: The Wicked Hop: Sunday brunch. Bloody Marys. Everyone’s friendly there.
Chelsey: Blue’s Egg. The crunk it sauce – I could drink it. And their monkey bread.
Kurt: Anywhere on the lakefront. The people, the lake. It’s just a good vibe.
Sandi: The Seven Bridges Trail of Grant Park: I love taking walks there.
Jan: The lakefront: Love going for walks and just looking at the lake.
Nate: Ballpark: Pick one. Doesn’t matter as long as it’s summer and we’re there.
Lori: It would either be our walks through Whitnall Park or our walks around the lakefront. That’s our place.
